Trims, Powertrains, Payload, and Configurations

The Super Duty offers a choice of five trims: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum. The standard F-250 and F-350 powertrain for the XL, XLT, and Lariat unites a 6.8-liter gas-burning V8 (output: 405 hp and 445 lb.-ft. of torque) to a TorqShift-G 10-speed automatic transmission. The King Ranch and Platinum retain that transmission but upgrade to a 7.3-liter gas V8 (available on the lower trims) that makes 430 horsepower and 485 lb.-ft. of torque. The F-250 King Ranch and Platinum also use the TorqShift-G transmission, but their F-350 counterparts move to a TorqShift 10-speed SelectShift automatic. Every Super Duty is eligible for the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 turbo-diesel engine (output: 475 hp and 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque) as well as a 6.7-liter high-output Power Stroke V8 turbo-diesel (output: 500 hp and 1,200 lb.-ft. of torque).
