The F-150 has held the title of America’s best-selling vehicle for over four decades—and for good reason. The legendary nameplate is a true workhorse, leading its segment in towing and payload capacity while offering a versatile range of trims and powertrains to suit nearly any job or lifestyle. For 2026, the lineup includes eight trim choices, from the no-nonsense workhorse XL to the ultra-capable Raptor, which we cover in a separate overview due to its extraordinary specs and the extensive optional features within the Raptor R package (including a 720-hp 5.2-liter supercharged V8 with class-best torque of 540 lb.-ft.).


Ford has made some changes of note for model year 2026, starting with enhancing its PowerBoost V6 hybrid engine to put out 578 lb.-ft. of torque (up from 570 lb.-ft. in the 2025 model) and expanding the hybrid powertrain’s availability to the STX trim (all trims except the XL, Tremor, and Raptor are eligible). The Connectivity Package and SiriusXM satellite radio with 360L are now standard, and the upscale King Ranch and Platinum now get heated rear seats. BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology is now offered for the XLT, and the rugged Tremor gains 1.5 inches of ground clearance (for a total of 10.9 inches). As far as exterior paint, Argon Blue Metallic, Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and Avalanche are the new colors for this year.
