service isn’t just about protecting your warranty—it’s the key to long-term reliability and
value.
This detailed maintenance guide outlines exactly what your 2025 F-150 needs at each interval.
From routine oil changes to major milestone checks, we’re here to help you get the most from your
truck—every mile, every time.
10,000, 20,000, and 30,000-Mile Services
As your 2025 Ford F-150 racks up miles, regular maintenance is key to keeping it running strong. The first significant service typically lands around 10,000 miles—or sooner if your F-150’s Intelligent Oil Life Monitor (IOLM) signals it’s time. This system continuously analyzes engine data to determine the optimal oil change interval, which usually falls between 5,000 and 7,500 miles.
At the 10,000-mile mark (or annually), service includes an oil and filter change, tire rotation, a full fluid top-off, and inspections of the belts, hoses, suspension, brakes, and exhaust. Your technician will also check the cooling system hoses and replace the cabin air filter.
When your F-150 reaches 20,000 miles, all those same services will be repeated, along with a fresh engine air filter and additional checks on the driveshafts, U-joints, and 4WD components (if equipped).
At 30,000 miles, the list expands again. This interval includes everything from the previous checks, plus spark plug replacement (depending on engine type) and a transmission fluid and filter flush—especially important if you’ve been towing or using your truck under heavier loads.
40,000, 50,000, and 60,000-Mile Services
As your 2025 Ford F-150 approaches higher mileage milestones, staying on top of scheduled maintenance becomes even more important to preserve its strength and reliability.
At 40,000 miles, your technician will perform all the services included at the 30,000-mile mark, while also inspecting and servicing the 4WD system (if equipped) and checking the exhaust system for any leaks or damage.
When your truck reaches 50,000 miles, expect a repeat of all 40,000-mile services along with an inspection—and replacement if needed—of the brake pads and rotors. The battery will also be tested, and its terminals cleaned to ensure consistent starting power.
At 60,000 miles, your F-150 will be due for more extensive maintenance, including a fresh serpentine belt, a full coolant flush and replacement, and a spark plug replacement (if not already performed at an earlier interval). These services build on everything done at the 50,000-mile service point.
75,000, 100,000, and 150,000-Mile Services
At 75,000 miles, the maintenance checklist expands to include lubrication of door hinges, latches, and locks, plus a differential fluid replacement—especially important for 4WD trucks or those used for towing. This service also includes all tasks from the 60,000-mile interval.
Reaching 100,000 miles is a major milestone. At this point, technicians will inspect and potentially replace the timing chain or belt (depending on your engine configuration), check the PCV valve, and perform all services from the 75,000-mile checklist.
Finally, at 150,000 miles, your F-150 should still be going strong—especially if you’ve kept up with previous maintenance. This Ford-defined “major service” interval includes replacing the accessory drive belt, flushing and replacing the transmission fluid and filter, and changing the rear axle lubricant. From here, you’ll continue following the established interval pattern to keep your truck operating at its best for many more miles to come.
