2025 Ford F-150 Raptor Hero

The Ford F-150 Raptor has carved out a unique spot in the truck world since its launch in 2010. Built for high-speed runs over rough terrain, it offers something few other pickups do straight from the factory. Last year, Ford raised the bar with the Raptor R, a new variant that swaps in a supercharged V8, making it the most powerful F-150 ever sold.

The 2025 F-150 Raptor lineup includes both the standard version and the Raptor R. The twin-turbo V6 in the base Raptor gets the truck to 60 mph in about 5.2 seconds, while the Raptor R’s supercharged V8 brings that down to 3.6 seconds. Even though it’s technically a variant, the Raptor R stands apart with its added power and unique hardware. Both versions focus on high-speed capability in rough terrain, with the R leaning harder into all-out performance.

Given the unique capabilities of the Ford F-150 Raptor, especially with the Raptor R 803A Equipment Group (the MSRP for that optional package is $31,925), we devote this page to the specialized truck’s outstanding capabilities and features. Please look for our regular overview of the 2025 F-150 as well.

Trim and Powertrains

The F-150 Raptor trim is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. With an MSRP of nearly $32K, the available Raptor R Equipment Group elevates this truck’s performance to the next level with a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 with an output of 720 horsepower and 640 lb.-ft. of torque. Both powerplants are connected to the standard four-wheel drivetrain via a ten-speed automatic transmission. The F-150 Raptor has a 1,410-pound maximum payload capacity and a top towing limit of 8,200 pounds. These specifications change to 1,400 pounds and 8,700 pounds for the Raptor R. The V6-powered Raptor is EPA-rated to achieve 14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. Fuel economy details for the Raptor R weren’t available at the time of this writing.

Standard Features
