Expedition Trims

One big piece of news for the refreshed Ford Expedition is the introduction of its first-ever Tremor edition. This extra-rugged trim has higher ground clearance and additional specialized components, including skid plates, all-terrain tires, a heavy-duty radiator, and a high-output, twin-turbocharged V6, all of which make it the most capable Expedition ever.

Getting back to the refresh, Ford has given the ’25 Expedition a modern makeover that encompasses a revamped interior dominated by a 24-inch panoramic digital display in place of the traditional instrument cluster. Out back, there’s another innovative feature, the convenient Ford Split Gate. This tailgate design combines the best aspects of a traditional SUV liftgate with the versatility of a pickup-style tailgate, for easier cargo-area access with a more flexible platform for outdoor activities. The third row also now has the Flexible Seating system, allowing independent folding of the middle seat to create a center aisle for accommodating oversized cargo.

Note that all trims except the Tremor are available in the extended-length Expedition Max variant, which is 11.9 inches longer than the standard. The 2025 Expedition can tow 6,100 to 9,600 pounds, depending on the powertrain, driveline, length, and installed equipment.
