Ford sells the 2025 E-Transit in a single trim with low, medium, and high roof heights and a long or extended body length. The rear wheels are powered by a single electric motor connected to an 89-kWh battery pack. The total output is 266 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. Cargo capacity ranges from 3,330 to 3,776 pounds, depending on the vehicle length. Cargo volume (behind the front seat) varies from 277.7 to 487.3 cubic feet, depending on the roof height and vehicle length.
The E-Transit achieves a range of up to 159 miles, with slight variations based on the roof height: 148 miles for the Medium Roof and 143 miles for the High Roof. Returning the E-Transit’s battery to 100% from 15% requires 8 to 12 hours with a Level 2/240-volt charger, based on the amperage. This works out to 10 to 15 miles per hour charging. A Level 3/DC fast charger can energize the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 40 minutes, providing about 45 miles of range per 15 minutes.
The work-focused E-Transit has remote keyless entry, single-zone climate control, vinyl-covered front bucket seats with manual controls, automatic headlights, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, power side-view mirrors, automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers, cruise control, a full-sized spare tire, dual USB ports, partial rear compartment lighting, and 16-inch steel wheels with covers. It also has a 50/50 hinged rear door with a 180- or 253-degree opening (depending on the wheelbase).
Keeping the unique needs of each business in mind, Ford offers an extensive options list for the E-Transit. The available Pro Power On Board system provides accessible electricity for electric tools and electronics. The list of comfort and convenience options includes proximity keyless entry with push-button start, a digital rearview mirror, a keyless entry keypad, running boards, privacy glass, and fabric upholstery. Buyers can also opt for numerous interior configuration upgrades, including bulkhead partitions (Medium Roof and High Roof), heavy-duty flooring, enhanced lighting, and foldable shelving. New for 2025, Ford has added optional factory-installed cargo area upfit packages designed for specific trades (HVAC, electrical, and general contractor).
The 2025 E-Transit comes standard with advanced technologies to assist the driver, such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning. Ford also includes an array of airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill start assist, and a rearview monitor. Adaptive cruise control is optional, as are blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view monitor, audible backup warning, parking sensors, and semi-autonomous parking support.
The Ford SYNC 4 infotainment system and a 12-inch touchscreen are standard issue, along with connected navigation (with three complimentary years), a four–speaker sound system, Bluetooth, and Alexa Built-In. SiriusXM satellite radio and a six-speaker audio system are both options. The 2025 E-Transit also comes with Ford Pro Telematic Essentials, which remotely monitors odometer information, repair codes, maintenance notices, and other fleet management details. Buyers can elect optional upgrades to enable remote locking/unlocking and show vehicle status (range and charging) as well as service reports, departure preconditioning points, driver activity monitoring, GPS tracking, and security alerts.
