Trims, Configurations, and Powertrains

The 2024 Ford Super Duty lineup consists of the F-250, F-350, and F-450 editions. Each edition is offered in six trim packages: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. The cab configurations include Regular (XL and XLT), SuperCab (F-250, F-350: XL, XLT, and Lariat), and Crew Cab. There are two cargo bed sizes: 6.75-foot (F-250, F-350) and 8-foot. Single rear wheels are standard on the F-250, while dual rear wheels are optional for the F-350 and standard on the F-450.

Four engine choices are on call for the Super Duty. A 6.8-liter V8 gas engine (400 horsepower, 445 lb.-ft. of torque) is standard on F-250/F-350 XL, with a 7.3-liter V8 gas engine (430 horsepower, 485 lb.-ft. of torque) standard on higher trims. A 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel making 475 horsepower and 1,050 lb.-ft. of torque is optional for the F-250/F-350 and standard in the F-450. The Limited trim features a standard high-output 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 Turbo-Diesel that produces 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb.-ft. of torque. Both diesel engines are optional for the lower trims.

In most cases, rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard, with four-wheel drive (4WD) optional, but 4WD is standard on some higher trims). Both drivetrains use a ten-speed automatic transmission. The maximum towing capacity is 40,000 pounds with a diesel-gooseneck setup or 30,000 pounds with the standard diesel configuration. The payload capacity can be as high as 8,000 pounds.

Standard Equipment

The 2025 Ford Super Duty XL focuses on essential features for getting the job done. Its exterior includes a power-locking tailgate, quad halogen headlights with auto on/off, a black-finished front grille and bumpers, telescoping and folding trailer/tow side mirrors (heated), and 17-inch steel wheels. The interior has manual climate control, vinyl upholstery, a 4.2-inch productivity screen, power windows and door locks, a 40/20/40-split front bench, cruise control, vinyl floor covering, a manual tilt and telescoping steering column, and a 60/40-split fold-up rear bench (except the Regular Cab). The XLT adds chrome bumpers and front grille, fabric upholstery, an eight-way power driver’s seat, halogen fog lamps, rear privacy glass, carpeting, and 18-inch aluminum wheels.

The Lariat trim adds upmarket elements inside and out. That includes remote start LED exterior lighting, upgraded side mirrors, a power-sliding rear window, remote tailgate release, leather upholstery (premium vinyl for the rear seats), heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats (Crew Cab), a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a driver’s memory system, an eight-way power front passenger seat, a power tilt/telescoping steering column, power-adjustable pedals, a 12-inch productivity screen, wireless device charging, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

The King Ranch trim adds Western-themed elements like styled leather upholstery and two-tone accent paint. It also has power-deployable running boards, a head-up display, unique interior treatments, Pro Power Onboard, a power tailgate with integrated step, trim-exclusive bumpers, an on-board scale and smart trailer hitch, and 20-inch aluminum wheels. The Platinum trim is similar to the King Ranch but without the Western styling. It gets trim-exclusive leather upholstery and exterior treatments, LED projector-style headlights, and premium cabin accents. The Limited trim is the most elegant, with lie-flat reclining front seats, two-tone leather upholstery, a ten-way power driver’s seat, unique exterior treatments, and a suede headliner.

Advanced Driver Aid and Safety Technology

Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 is standard on most Super Duty trims and optional on the XL. This technology suite includes pre-collision assist with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, intersection assist, trailer sway control, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on the Lariat and higher.

The Lariat and higher trims also feature a surround-view monitor and reverse brake assist, which are optional on XL and XLT. A lane-keeping system with lane-keeping alert and adaptive cruise control come standard on King Ranch and above and can be added to the Lariat. Lane centering is found only on the Limited trim. Every trim gets a set of airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The 2024 Super Duty’s infotainment system uses Ford’s SYNC 4 platform. The XL and XLT have an 8-inch touchscreen, while the higher trims get a 12-inch touchscreen with navigation. All versions include a multi-speaker audio system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM satellite radio is standard from the Lariat trim upward. The King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited have a Bang & Olufsen sound system with 18 speakers. Access to FordPass Connect and a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot is available across all Super Duty trims.
