Although Ford presents the 2024 E-Transit with just one trim package, it’s built in several available configurations: low, medium, and high roof heights and long or extended body length. A single electric motor with an 89-kWh battery propels the rear wheels with up to 266 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. The cargo capacity varies by configuration but can reach up to 3,858 pounds.
With a Level 2/240-volt charger, an E-Transit’s battery requires 8 to 12 hours to charge from 15% to 100% (depending on amperage). This translates into 10 to 15 miles per hour of charging. Level 3/DC fast charging can top off the battery from 10% to 80% in about 40 minutes or at a rate of 45 miles per 15 minutes.
With a maximum estimated range of 159 miles, an E-Transit Low Roof can travel the furthest on a single full charge. That will change to 148 miles for the Medium Roof and 143 for the High Roof.
The 2024 Ford E-Transit is focused on the job at hand.
