Trims, Powertrains, and Performance

The 2024 Ford Bronco is available in nine trim packages: Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Heritage Edition, Wildtrak, Everglades, Heritage Limited Edition, and Raptor. Most are offered in both hard-top two-door and soft-top four-door variants, except for the Outer Banks, Everglades, and Raptor, which are strictly four-door models.

Under the hood of most is a potent 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine putting out 300 hp and 325 lb.-ft. of torque (with premium fuel). For those seeking even more power, there’s an available 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 generating up to 330 hp and 415 lb.-ft. of torque, which is standard in the Wildtrak and Heritage Limited Edition (although it’s unavailable for the Big Bend, Everglades, and Raptor). The high-performance Raptor stands in a league of its own, thanks to an exclusive 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 that makes 418 hp and 440 lb.-ft. of torque.

The 2024 Bronco’s transmission options include a standard seven-speed manual for those equipped with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost and a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic in conjunction with the 2.7-liter V6. The Everglades is the exception to this rule, as it gets the 2.3-liter engine with the 10-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is standard. With the optional Class II Trailer Tow Package, most trims can tow up to 3,500 pounds, while the Raptor extends this capability to 4,500 lb.

Equipment by Trim

The Big Bend comes with a removable roof and doors and an array of other notable features, including tow hooks, remote keyless entry, LED headlights and fog lights, heated side mirrors, push-button ignition, an 8-inch LCD gauge cluster, a Terrain Management System with six G.O.A.T. (Go Over Any Terrain) modes, four smart-charging USB ports, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The Black Diamond ramps up the off-road experience by adding bash plates, rock rails, rubberized floors with drain plugs for easy cleanup, an extra G.O.A.T. mode, backseat MOLLE straps, and marine-grade vinyl upholstery.

The Outer Banks resembles the Big Bend, but with more amenities: proximity keyless entry, remote start, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient footwell lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and heated front seats. The Badlands, which is similar to the Black Diamond, gains an additional tow hook.

Retro-inspired design is all the rage right now, and the Heritage Edition does a great job with its Oxford White paint, red Ford lettering, special badging, and plaid cloth upholstery. It provides many features from the upscale Outer Banks, too, along with bash plates and a convenient slide-out tailgate (four-door only). The Wildtrak is tailored for adventure, featuring an enhanced suspension with FOX internal bypass shocks and an increased ride height. It also sports a signature Wildtrak hood graphic. The Everglades is optimized for wet conditions, given that it’s equipped with a snorkel system, water-resistant rubberized floors, and marine-grade upholstery. Roof rails and a WARN winch provide additional functionality.

The Heritage Limited Edition builds upon the regular Heritage with an upgraded suspension, an additional tow hook, LED headlights, wireless phone charging, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and leather/vinyl seats adorned with perforated plaid inserts. At the top of the Bronco lineup, the Raptor is the most formidable thanks to its semi-active damping suspension, a heavy-duty bumper, Rigid Industries LED fog lights, high-coverage fender flares, full-vehicle bash plates, rock rails with removable running boards, a 12-inch digital gauge cluster, and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Advanced Safety Equipment

All Bronco trims get pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking and automatic high beams standard. The Ford Co-Pilot360 suite is available on the Big Bend, Black Diamond, and Badlands in conjunction with the Mid Package, adding a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and lane-keeping assist; these features come standard on the remaining trims. The Mid Package for the Big Bend, Black Diamond, and Badlands also includes rear parking sensors, which is a standard feature for the rest.

The High/Lux Package (available for the Outer Banks, Badlands, and Wildtrak and standard in the Heritage Limited Edition and Raptor) contains adaptive cruise control and evasive steering assist. A surround-view camera is available as a standalone option for the Outer Banks, Badlands, and Wildtrak, but it’s standard in the Heritage Limited Edition and Raptor.

Infotainment

Across the 2024 Bronco lineup, Ford’s latest SYNC 4 infotainment system is standard, featuring a 12-inch touchscreen with enhanced voice recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The Outer Banks, Heritage Edition, Wildtrak, Everglades, Heritage Limited Edition, and Raptor also get integrated navigation, which can be optioned on the other trims. Also, while most trims come with a seven-speaker sound system, the Heritage Limited Edition and Raptor get a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen system, which is available for the Outer Banks, Badlands, and Wildtrak.

Packages

The 2024 Ford Bronco offers a range of feature-filled upgrade packages. All trims include the Standard Package, which supplies LED headlights, push-button start, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. The optional Mid Package is available to furnish the Big Bend, Black Diamond, and Badlands with remote start, proximity keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient footwell lighting, a 110V power outlet, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats, rear parking sensors, enhanced voice recognition, and navigation.

For total refinement, the High/Lux Package (optional for the Outer Banks, Badlands, and Wildtrak) includes adaptive cruise control, a premium 10-speaker B&O sound system, evasive steering assist, a heated steering wheel, dual smart charging USB ports, a universal garage door opener, and a wireless phone charger. The formidable Sasquatch Package (optional for the Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, and Badlands and standard in the rest), installs an advanced 4WD system with on-demand engagement, a high clearance suspension, and Bilstein shocks to ensure an unforgettable off-road escapade.
